Susan Hauser Ellis, CPA has been responsible for the accounting for Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund, Inc. (DREDF), a national law and policy center dedicated to protecting and furthering the civil rights of people with disabilities since 2000.
Ms Ellis has been a CPA for over 15 years and has been an accountant for more than 30 years. For the past 20 years Ms Ellis has specialized in not for profit accounting and finance. Her CPA was earned from KPMG International, one of the "Big Four" accounting firms.
Ms Ellis has consulted with many nonprofits and small businesses over the years. She has also taught classes for the SBA's Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) in San Francisco and has been a guest lecturer at the University of San Francisco's College of Professional Studies, Institute for Nonprofit Organization Management, course title: Financial Management of Nonprofits.
Ms Ellis received her undergraduate degree in History and Geography from the University of California at Davis, her teaching training at Holy Names University in Oakland, and her MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
